11/5 From Risk to Readiness: Emergency Water Supply Strategies (Webinar) IEPA#22329 Sponsored by Engineering Enterprises, INC. CEU TYPE: Drinking Water Technical (DWT) WEBINAR TYPE: Technical IEPA#: 22329
SUMMARY: With all water infrastructure continuing to age, water main breaks are inevitable and water facility shutdowns or reduced capacity due to maintenance needs are going to happen. Proactive emergency supply planning can alleviate undue stress and allow for proper planning and budgeting of necessary improvements to continue water service to your customers during emergencies and/or needed routine maintenance. Every utility operates differently and has different risk tolerances for which to plan. This webinar will highlight considerations for identifying the conditions/situations for which to plan, the need to perform a sensitivity analysis of the length of time of any given emergency, potential alternative water supply sources/options during emergencies, the need for communication, and steps to begin and/or enhance your emergency plans to continue to provide adequate water supply to your customers. PRESENTERS: Michele Piotrowski, PE, LEED AP, Vice President and Stephen Dennison, PE, Vice President
