COMPETENT PERSON TRENCHING & SHORING TRAINING IEPA#19395
CEU TYPE: DCNT Training Classification: Safety IEPA#: 19395
TOPIC: This eye-opening Competent Person training class goes well beyond the typical training program. Not only will your personnel learn what OSHA requires, but what life-saving steps to perform should something go terribly wrong in a trench. This seminar will discuss what happens to the body when it gets compressed and Crushed Syndrome. Attendees will find out what they can expect from first responders and what they should do should if a cave in occurs. The seminar covers the law itself and then finishes up outside, to demonstrate trench shoring and excavating principles. Attendees will learn how to read tabulated data and how shoring is installed. Handouts consist of the law itself. PRESENTERS: Jim Sullivan, Prospan Manufacturing Company
REGISTRATION & HOURS: Registration begins at 7:30am. The training will start at 8:00am and will conclude by 12:00pm. Earn up to 4 Professional Development Hours (PDH's) for engineers or Renewal Training Credit (RTC) hours for water operators.
