6/2 Basic Pump and System Hydraulics (Buffalo Grove)

TOPIC: Discussion will focus on the science behind centrifugal pumps and how that impacts equipment selection. Attendees will learn how centrifugal pumps interact with their respective systems and how proper pump selection not only saves electricity, but also total cost of ownership. Topics will include: 1. How centrifugal pumps work. 2. Pump performance curves 3. System head curves 4. Preferred and allowable operating range 5. NPSH and the importance of NPSH margin.
PRESENTERS: Craig Dickerson, USEMCO CHECK-IN & HOURS: Check-in begins at 9:30am. The training will start at 10:00am and will conclude by 12:00pm. Earn up to 2 Professional Development Hours (PDH's) for engineers or Renewal Training Credit (RTC) hours for operators.
